ACUPUNCTURE WITHOUT NEEDLES
Acupuncture is believed to be 2500 years old. The basic concept of acupuncture is the stimulation of specific nerve centers of the body. 2500 years ago the best way to do this was with a small needle. Sometime later small beads of incense were burned on the ends of these needles to increase the stimulation of the needle. This is called "moxibustion". Late in the last century acupuncturists began to apply electrical current to the needles to increase their effect. This is the current state of the art in needle acupuncture.
Today we are able to stimulate these same nerve centers of the body with a skin penetrating beam of laser light. In addition to providing stimulation the wavelength of light used also accelerates the healing process at the cellular level. The laser also eliminates all risk of infection or nerve damage from the needles.
